Education Reimbursement (ILP)
The Canadian Armed Forces offers education reimbursement to its reserve members, as referenced under CBI 210.801. More information can be found here.
Basic Eligibility
Primary Reserve members may be reimbursed for studying at a Canadian university or college to get a degree or diploma. The education reimbursement is up to 50% of your expenses with a maximum of $2,000 per academic year. The maximum benefit is $8,000 per career.
You’re eligible for this benefit if:
you’re in the Reserve Force
you’ve successfully completed basic training
you have an approved ILP and Self-Development Plan (SLP)
you successfully complete your courses

Open the following website from a DWAN computer: HTTPS://SDPEER-PARFS.FORCES.MIL.CA
Log in using your DWAN email and password. If you have never created an account then you would need to Register.
Follow the screens and complete the info as necessary.
When submitting expected costs, make sure you plan for future expenses and for costs to go up every year, don't underestimate
You should have a link to your program/educational institution on hand
You will need to submit a Self Development Plan (DSP). This is easy, just follow the prompts.
Once the SDP is approved you can submit the ILP

Done at the end of the school year when your transcripts/ grades are in
Provide all necessary documents to your Unit OR Clerk who will process the claim

Communications and Electronics Branch Educational Bursary (Deadline for applications is end of July of each year)
The C&E Educational Bursary is offered on an annual basis to provide financial assistance for deserving candidates entering, or already enrolled into, their first programme of post-secondary education.
The competition is open to the children and dependants of serving personnel (from the Regular and Reserve Force) and retired C&E Family members.
Academic institutions include, but are not limited:
Universities;
Colleges; and
Technical / Vocational Schools.
The current competition entails the following bursaries, totalling $5,000.00 in educational funding:
Officers (up to and including Lieutenant-Colonel):
2 x Bursaries in the amount of $1,000.00 each.
Non-Commissioned Members (up to and including Master Warrant Officer):
3 x Bursaries in the amount of $1,000.00 each.
