There are a variety of Mental Health supports offered to members of the public, as well as CAF members. Here you will find a list of supports available.
This information is a reference and the Debney JR Mess cannot assist in navigating or applying for programs. CFMWS is however there to support you in this process.
Alberta Health/ Gov
Crisis line available 24/7: 1-877-303-2642 (toll free)
The Mental Help Line is a 24 hour, 7 day a week confidential service that provides support, information and referrals to Albertans experiencing mental health concerns
The line is staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprised of nurses, psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychologists.

CFMAP
Canadian Forces Member Assistance Program
24/7 mental health assistance line: 1-800-268-7708.
The CFMAP is a partnership between the Department of National Defence (DND) and Health Canada's Emergency Preparedness and Occupational Health Directorate Employee Assistance Services (EAS). The CFMAP offers confidential, voluntary, short term counselling to assist with resolving many of today's stresses at home and in the work place. The CFMAP should not be regarded as treatment for mental illness or addictions

Operational Stress Injury Social Support
Support for CAF members, veterans, adn their families who are experiencing Operational Stress Injury (OSI)

CoC/ Padre
The Cain of Command is there to support their members. If you have a concern then always feel free to bring it up to your Chain of Command.
Some units have Padres. If yours does, they are an amazing resource for getting help/ supports. If your unit does not have a Padre, there is always the CFB Edmonton Padre.
